Education Fund & Foundation

Mission:
The purpose of this 501(c)(3) is to provide financial support for educational programs that promote the post-secondary academic advancement and aspirations of students from schools in communities in the BWS Charlotte target geographic region, with particular emphasis on those students pursuing a business oriented curriculum.

Vision:
The activities of the Black Wall Street Charlotte Education Fund & Foundation (Foundation) are closely aligned with the Foundation mission and the mission of the Black Wall Street Charlotte (BWSC).
Foundation scholarships are unique in that they are granted to minority students who exhibit entrepreneurial aspirations/inclinations in addition to high academic achievement and significant community service contributions. The Foundation seeks to enhance students’ individual and social successes by providing students with supplemental educational programming and business networking opportunities. The Foundation also seeks to develop the next generation of civic-minded business leaders by providing students with opportunities to model positive corporate and entrepreneurial citizenship through interaction with the Foundation and BWSC board members, donors, sponsors, membership and scholarship recipients.
