Business Development Program 

Our Business Development Program (BDP) is one of the premiere programs of Black Wall Street Charlotte. It was created to assist small business members to reach the next level of economic success by partnering with BWS Charlotte's dynamic corporate board members and sponsors.​

Criteria to Apply:

• ​51% minority ownership

• Business license and owner of a profitable business for at least 3 years

• Annual revenue must be $50,000 or higher for the previous tax year

​

Criteria if Accepted:

• Current member of BWS Charlotte at the start of the program

• Six (6) month commitment with homework assignments (must complete 90% of meetings and homework)

• Meetings on a set day of each week of each month

• Regular calls with business mentor

• Completion of 6 Modules and participate in the Business Pitch Competition

• Six (6) month program with 6 Modules

  • Contracting and Procurement​

  • Supplier Diversity

  • Funding and Access to Capital

  • Marketing

  • Business Structure and Accounting

  • Technology and Intensive Technical Assistance
